If you have questions about bringing our team to your classroom or event, please contact timothy.hawthorne@ucf.edu. If you would like to learn more about our research and educational programs please visit our website at www.citizensciencegis.org. Citizen Science GIS is an international award-winning organization at University of Central Florida committed to changing the ways communities and scientists work together in research and education.

To gear up for the maptastic learning we will have on the tour, here is a link to a mapping project you can do with your students and families right now (it’s an especially timely activity for the holiday seasons). It takes about 2 minutes, and it allows you to celebrate acts of kindness! Our Mapping Acts of Kindness Project aims to be the largest map of kindness ever created. We already have thousands of data points mapped. Add you data here: http://www.citizensciencegis.org/mapkindness/.

Details about the maps, apps and drones tour: Pre-registration is not a guarantee that we can participate in your event or come to your classroom. All requests need to be at least 30 days in advance of the desired event date.  We will begin contacting schools for scheduling the week of January 7. We will begin new school visits in the final week of January 2019.

Happy holidays, and we can’t wait to see you and your students in 2019!
