Dr. Hannah Torres

Co-Principal Investigator for NSF REU/RET Site

Hannah Torres, PhD, is Assistant Director for Research Operations with George Mason University's Center for Resilient and Sustainable Communities (C-RASC), and she is Co-PI for the NSF REU/RET focused on GIS and community geography in Belize. Dr. Torres has been working with Citizen Science GIS since 2017 when she joined the Coastal Connections team as a postdoctoral researcher to study the role of sense of place in estuary restoration. Her research interests are interdisciplinary with a focus on community geography, natural hazards/resilience, and environmental management.
