The iSTEM offices at the University of Central Florida is creating a Virtual Library as a continuation of STEM Day since it will not be conducted in person like years prior due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Their Virtual Library will include videos created by different organizations who have designed variations of presentations, demonstrations, and activities geared towards the K-12 community that will supplement STEM concepts already being taught at school or at home!

As contribution to this wonderful effort, we at Citizen Science GIS have created a video based on a virtual interview conducted by none other than Aiden Hawthorne as acting 4th grade spokesperson for our mock Orlando Kids News Network. Here as individual team members we talk about what being a citizen scientist means to each of us and about lessons we have learned along our mapping journey. We provide examples of our use of GIS as well as maps within our research, in our classes, and in our careers.
