GeoBus Drivers Needed

Help Wanted: CDL Drivers (or those wishing to start CDL training). Help bring GeoBus at UCF to K-12 schools across Central Florida.

The GeoBus at UCF team is looking to rapidly and quickly expand its CDL drivers/educators to support more GeoBus visits throughout the region. The innovative education program is funded in part by a grant from National Geographic Society, the City of Orlando, 15lightyears, Lynx, UCF Sociology and College of Sciences, and several area industry partners.

We are hiring immediately to support school visits. If you have a CDL license (or are interested in training to get one), the GeoBus team is interested in connecting with you. You can also share this message with your networks over email and on social media. We have paid and/or volunteer opportunities to drive the bus to/from schools a day or two each week (and potentially more as we fill our schedule). To express interest in this opportunity, please contact Dr. Tim Hawthorne at geobus@ucf.edu and visit their website to learn more about GeoBus at: https://www.citizensciencegis.org/geobus. Thanks for your help in driving science’s next generation with GeoBus at UCF!

About GeoBus at UCF: We are a 40-foot mobile science learning lab powered by solar on a repurposed city bus focused on geospatial technology experiences for K-12 students. It’s the first GeoBus in the country and visits K-12 schools a few days each week.
