Kaitlyn Brower is an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. Kaitlyn started working with the Citizen Science GIS team Fall of 2021 to georeference drone images from the Eelgrass Project. Kaitlyn also is assisting with fieldwork for the Orlando Utility project by drone mapping their infrastructure. Currently, her research focuses on the ecology of the Indian River Lagoon. She is working on projects for shoreline restoration and is monitoring the lagoon for microplastics with the Marine Discovery Center.
