Maps, Apps, and Drones Tour

Book Now for Stops Beginning in January 2018! The Maps, Apps, and Drones Tour is a K-12 education and outreach program for Central Florida schools. We offer hands-on learning experiences at your schools where students will learn about GIS and drones, interact with online mapping applications, and fly mini-drones. We transport maps, apps, and drones to science’s next generation.

Pre-register your class, organization or event for the Maps, Apps, and Drones program, led Citizen Science GIS, an organization run out of the University of Central Florida. Have our team of volunteers come teach your group about about maps, apps and drones, bridging science, technology and communities.

Preference is given to schools that can support over 150 youth engaging with our team during a visit.

Students will engage in an interactive assembly and then participate in hands-on learning activities that may include: using mapping apps, creating crowd-sourced data, flying mini-drones, and more!

Target Audience: 4th grade and up, we have coloring activities for the younger citizen scientists.
